Travelers on Sussex County roads will see two CHEER billboards on wheels when they come across the non-profit agency’s food vans traveling throughout the county. These vinyl wrapped designs not only advertise the agency, but also protect the vehicle. The wraps were created by Ad-Art Sign Company in Georgetown.
Funding for the wrapping of one of the vans was supplied by Meals On Wheels Delaware, a partner of CHEER’s Nutrition Department. MOW-DE also wrapped a vehicle apiece for other Meals On Wheels agencies in the state. On front, MOW representatives came to CHEER to inspect the first wrapped vehicle to hit the roads. Left to right are: Lyndon Yearick, chairman MOW-DE Appropriations Committee and a State Representative; Susan Dubb, Development Director MOW-DE; and Ann Love, Executive Director MOW-DE.
The wrapping for the second CHEER van (shown in drawing above) was funded as part of a two-year grant recently received from AmeriCorps Seniors to recruit volunteers for the agency. AmeriCorps is a network of local, state, and national service programs that connects over 70,000 Americans each year in intensive service to meet community needs.
